Bladen County resident Katie Galyean is preparing for an upcoming mission trip to Uruguay. The trip will be taken with her college, North Greenville University in March. The trip will include the North Greenville University Mass Communications students and costs $3,500 per student.

Galyean is a senior at NGU and is majoring in Mass Communications.

Galyean said that the students will be working with Trans World Radio on creating different types of media such as video, graphic design, and photography, to create media for the Uruguay ministry and also the students will be sharing Christ with the local people as well.

There is an online auction to assist called the “Galyean Kids Mission Auction” which will take place on Facebook January 27 through January 31, to help raise funds. There is also a yard sale at the Foundation Bible Church to be held on February 18.  The church is located at 1107 West Broad Street in Elizabethtown across from the Burger King in the Village Shops.

T-shirts are also being offered for purchase and cost $20 each.

Donations are being accepted for the yard sale and the online auction. If you have items you would like to donate or to purchase a T-shirt, contact Galyean at mail: galyean625@ngu.edu.
