Bladen County Schools announced Monday afternoon that its schools will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday morning because of expected inclement weather and possible windy conditions expected in the area overnight Monday. The delay will be for both students and staff.
If further changes are needed to the school instruction schedule, Bladen County Schools said it will provide an update by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Bladen County and surrounding counties until noon Tuesday. Winds are expected to be in the 25 mph to 35 mph range with gusts up to 50 mph.
