Bladenboro Police Chief Chris Hunt has a message for all of those who donated to the police department’s Christmas for Kids program.

“Thank you!” said Hunt.

He said the program was a huge success and it would not have been possible without each person who donated.

“Without them (the donors) Christmas would not have been possible for the kids,” said Hunt.

He said the children enjoyed getting to go shopping the officers and picking out their favorite items.

Hunt said that just because Christmas has passed does not mean that Christmas for Kids is closed.

“We accept donations for Christmas for Kids throughout the year,” said Hunt.

He added the department understands that sometimes, folks want to give at Christmas but it is difficult to do so.

To make a donation to Christmas for Kids, you can bring your contribution to the Bladenboro Police Department located at 306 South Main Street or you can drop them off the Bladenboro Town Hall located on 411 Ivey Street or call 910-863-3333 for more information.
