Shane Todd and Rodney Hester were joined this morning by a small contingency of members from Boost the Boro to present a framed picture of North Carolina Highway Patrol, Master Trooper Kevin K. Conner, to the Bladenboro Fire Department.

“Kevin, who was killed in the line of duty on October 17, 2018, will be permanently honored at the Fire Department 51 and his picture will be displayed”, said Shane Todd.  “According to Rodney Hester, “We were honored to make this gift to the Fire Department.  Kevin had such a positive impact on so many people and in so many areas of our community and our members just felt like this was the best place for this picture of Kevin to be”.

Chief Jackie Coleman said, “Kevin was an unforgettable soul and was a member of our department for about six years until he married and moved to Columbus County.  We already have the perfect spot for this picture and it will be hanging here for as long as our Department is here”.

Don White, President of Boost the Boro expressed his appreciation to both Commissioner Charles Peterson for making arrangements to have this picture donated to Boost the Boro from SignLogic and to Commissioner Ray and Wanda Britt on the outstanding job they did on the framing.

“Anyone who would like to take a look at the picture or tour the Fire Department headquarters in Bladenboro and see some of the memorabilia we have accumulated over the years, as well as those individuals we have honored for service and beyond can stop by”, according to Chief Coleman.
