Bladenboro’s volunteer organization, Boost the Boro, has plans of a grand opening ceremony for a new business in town: Elizabeth’s Arts and Crafts. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, January 8th, at 1 pm.

Elizabeth Allbright of Bladenboro is the owner of the new business that offers paintings, handmade jewelry, and more, by local artists. Elizabeth’s Arts and Crafts made its debut in Bladenboro on December 4th, as the town gathered for the annual Christmas Parade.

Elizabeth shared that the store will also offer thrift items, in addition to the unique arts and crafts available. She added, “I am excited to see what the future holds for this opportunity for me. I wanted to do my part to help grow and support the town that has also supported me and my family through the years. I would like to thank everyone in advance for the support I am going to receive going forward. I would like to thank Mayor David Hales for providing me with the building, his time, and his ideas. He has been a big help to me in getting this business up and started and I could not have done it without his help and support.”

Official hours of operation have not yet been determined, but will be determined and shared at a later date, according to the owner.

On social media, Elizabeth shared, “I am just trying to do my part to help Bladenboro grow, and will really appreciate your support and prayers through this process.”
