2020 Census Virtual Weekend Empowerment – May 1-3, 2020

Greg Elkins with Bladen County’s Planning Department announced the Census Virtual Weekend, which starts today. Each person who responds to the 2020 Census helps their community secure its fair share of over $675 billion dollars in federal funding for roads, schools, healthcare services, and so many other programs.

The U.S. Census Bureau has implemented a digital engagement initiative geared towards increasing self-response rates across the nation. The objective of the initiative is to leverage the influence of social media influencers throughout the country to encourage hard to reach audiences to participate in the 2020 Census.

Social media influencers, Bladen County needs your help!

NC Lt. Governor Dan Forest took some time to talk to Bladen County residents today about the importance of the 2020 Census.
