The 2020 Census response deadline is September 30, and nearly 25% of NC households have not been counted yet.

Census data brings $1,823 per person per year in funding back to NC communities for health care, education, highways, community development and more, according to Bob Coats with the NC Office of State Budget and Management. The census may be submitted safely by completing the Census online (my2020census.gov), by phone (844-330-2020 in English, 844-468-2020 in Spanish), or by paper form postmarked by September 30.

Census workers are going door-to-door now to complete the 2020 Census count.  Coats stated, “You may get a visit from a Census worker even if you have already responded.  Census Director Steven Dillingham posted the message below to explain why.”

Be safe and BE COUNTED!
