The new year began with an extremely cold as a group of brave volunteers at Camp Clearwater embraced the Polar Plunge by submerging themselves into the freezing waters of White Lake at the onset of January.

The weather during the plunge was characterized by temperatures hovering around the lower 50s, accompanied by a brisk breeze, setting the tone for a chilly start to the new year. The event, as tradition dictates, unfolded near the arcade and store at Camp Clearwater, with an impressive turnout of over 40 individuals volunteering to take the frigid plunge into the lake.

Amidst the icy waters and exhilaration, participants reveled in laughter, and the post-plunge gathering included a delicious spread of hotdogs. This cherished annual tradition serves to ensure that the new year kicks off on a lighthearted note, fostering a positive outlook for all who participate.
