Bladen-County-SealBladen County Commissioners meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. for a regular bi-monthly meeting

The agenda includes a request from the Bladen County Board of Education for two (2) lottery fund applications for capital improvements at Elizabethtown Middle School. Sharon Penny, Bladen County Board of Education Finance Officer, is expected to make the request.

Lisa Coleman, Bladen County Finance Officer will present the commissioners monthly financial report for the first two months of the new fiscal year.

Commissioners are expected to consider a couple of Memorandum of Agreements related to the Health and Human Services Agency. The requests are expected from Cris Harrelson, Director of the agency.

David Howell is on the agenda and expected to update the board on the EMS plan. The board recently met to discuss ways to better utilize the staff and equipment. He is expected to recommend additional staff, along with other changes at the agency.

General Services Director Robert Mazur will present several recommendations to the board.

The board is expected to make appointments to three (3) agencies. Included is one to the Keep Bladen Beautiful committee, 2 to the Voluntary Agricultural Districts Committee and 3 to the Watershed Review Board.

Greg Martin, County Manager, will ask the board to consider approving ECS Carolinas, LLP, to perform special inspections for the Law Enforcement and Detention Center project.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
