CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) issued this statement after learning of the church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas:
“How grievous to learn of the church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. We won’t know the motives until an investigation is completed. Our deepest sympathy and prayers for surviving victims and family members. This is an unimaginable nightmare for that small Christian church and community.”
Congressman Pittenger lived in nearby San Antonio during high school and later worked with Campus Crusade for Christ on an evangelistic media outreach, “I Found It,” involving churches throughout Texas.
