Rep. Robert Pittenger

Thursday’s town hall meeting with U.S. Congressman Robert Pittenger in Elizabethtown will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown.

As reported on Friday, Congressman Pittenger had secured an unexpected opportunity to bring Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson to Fayetteville to discuss Hurricane Matthew recovery with local leaders.  This would have required postponing the Elizabethtown Town Hall scheduled for Thursday, August 31st.

However, President Trump now needs Secretary Carson on scene in Houston, Texas so the Elizabethtown Town Hall meeting will now proceed as scheduled.

The meeting will be conducted at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market:  Thursday, August 31st, 1:30 p.m. (106 Martin Luther King Dr., Elizabethtown).
