The County Commission held a called meeting on Monday, the 21st, prior to its last regular meeting of the 2020-2021 budget year, to hear a final update on the proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 budget.

Commission Chairman Charles Ray Peterson called the special session to order at 5 pm. Commissioner Cameron McGill provided the invocation and County Manager Greg Martin led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The County Manager summarized the proposed budget and clarified the effects of several last-minute line-item amendments that had previously been approved by the Board. There were no ad valorem tax increases.

The All-Funds budget expenditures were proposed to be $61,910,539; corresponding revenues totaled $59,464,914; appropriated Fund Balances of $2,445,625 from seven different Funds were appropriated to balance the budget.

Commissioner McGill moved to adopt the proposed budget for FY 2021-2022; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Rodney Hester and was approved by unanimous vote of the Board.

All business of the called meeting having been completed, the meeting was adjourned at 5:08 pm.
