CHARLESTON, S.C. – CresCom Bank, a leading community bank in North and South Carolina, is pleased to show support for our nation’s Veterans with the launch of its first ever Veterans Calendar on November 1, 2017. Veterans will be able to receive the commemorative calendar for free while non-Veteran community members may receive the calendar with a donation of any amount.
Show your support this Veterans Day and pick up the Veterans calendar at any of CresCom Bank’s 34 branch locations throughout North and South Carolina beginning Wednesday, November 1, 2017 – while supplies last. 100% of the donations raised from the Veterans calendar will be divided equally amongst multiple local charities whose missions are to help and support our nation’s Veterans.
The Veterans Calendar is an 18-month calendar where each month features nostalgic photographs of Veterans who have served across all branches of U.S. Armed Forces.
CresCom Bank compiled the images and stories from customers, employees and Veterans in the communities the bank serves to create the calendar. To gather these images, some of which are on historical registries, CresCom Bank reached out to the community through a social media and marketing contest asking them to share their armed forces experiences and pictures.
“At CresCom, we are thankful and appreciative of the sacrifices made by our Veterans and those who currently serve in the military,” said David L. Morrow, CEO of CresCom Bank. “The Veteran’s calendar is a small token of our support and to hopefully raise money to serve those who have served us.”
The Veterans calendar isn’t the only Veterans-focused initiative on behalf of the bank. CresCom Bank continually supports the CresCom Bank Center for Military and Veteran Studies at Coastal Carolina University, which researches, preserves and archives American military history and promotes outreach programs to encourage public recognition of the service and sacrifices of U.S. Veterans. CresCom Bank also supports Rod Gragg, author, historian and director of the CresCom Bank Center for Military and Veteran Studies, in sharing these historical archives by booking speaking engagements throughout the Carolinas.
