The annual Cry Out America event is set to take place on Tuesday, September 11, at 6 PM on the front lawn of the Bladen County Courthouse in Elizabethtown.

“The evening will be a time of worshiping together in an extraordinarily united prayer for a spiritual movement in our county,” said Rev. Larry Hayes, one of the events many organizers. “Our farmers, county leaders, church leaders, and our law enforcement need our prayers and support.”

Rev. Hayes added veterans and “fallen heroes” will be recognized by members of the Bladen County 4-H.

The scripture for this year’s event is Psalm 3:3, “But You, Lord, are a shield around me,” according to the Cry Out America website.

Rev. Hayes said in the event of rain, activities will be moved inside to the Superior Court Room.
