TylerCTyler Cannady, a rising senior from East Bladen High school, has been chosen as this year’s Bladen Soil and Water Conservation District representative to attend the annual Resource Conservation Workshop. Students are chosen by the District Supervisors based in part on their interest in conservation and the environment.

This workshop is a week of intensive study requiring student attention and participation in a wide range of conservation topics. The primary objective of the workshop is learning about natural resources and its management in today’s environment. This year’s workshop will be held June 21-26 on the campus of North Carolina State University.

Pictured with Tyler is Michael Aycock, representative from the Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club, who sponsors the students through the annual Joseph F. Gallehugh Scholarship. Cape Fear Farm Credit of Elizabethtown also sponsors the students.
