Spring is a time for new beginnings and it is that time of year. White Lake is a popular vacation spot for many during the warmer months. Easter weekend is the first official weekend for some businesses at White Lake.
Camp Clearwater has egg hunts planned for their residents. Ski Burger is geared up for a busy weekend. Last but not least, the new Christian camp that was once Lasley’s Motel is officially opened for business.
The opening of the retreat center is the culmination of several months of work. Pastor Cameron McGill declared the White Lake Christian Camp and Retreat Center to be “open and ready for business.” In fact, two groups have already booked the center for Spring Break, said McGill.
Besides celebrating Easter at the camp, a Memorial Day concert featuring Karen Peck and New River is planned for Sunday, May 27th.
Pastor McGill said the motel and the kitchen/dining facilities and bunk houses are all ready. Rates range from $85 per night for motel rooms to $800 per week for bunk houses (mobile homes) which can sleep 8 to 10 people.
