The Town of Elizabethtown Town Council met in regular session Monday evening. Town Manager Dane Rideout announced that the Town has received an earmark from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) fund from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund to assist eligible units of government with meeting their water/wastewater infrastructure needs. Council accepted the offer of $13.6 million to perform work detailed in the submitted application which will be used for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project.
In other administrative matters, the Council awarded the Audit Services Proposal to Thompson-Price based on the recommendation of the Budget Committee; approved all consent items; and approved the Budget Amendment and monthly financial report.
Dixie Youth Opening Ceremony is planned for April 23rd at 11 a.m.
In observance of Easter, the Town offices will be closed on Good Friday, April 15th.
Kids Appreciation Day will be Saturday, May 7. The White Lake Water Festival Parade is scheduled for Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m.
