The BeastFest 5K Color Run will take place at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21st. The Color Run event will begin at the Bladenboro Town Hall located at 411 Ivey Street, Bladenboro. Registration is $25 for adults 18 and older and $20 for children ages 13-17. There is no fee for children under age 12; however the t-shirt fee for those under age 12 will be $12.

Also on Saturday, a one-day camp opportunity with no cost will be offered by Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Families will be able to bring their children who are currently going through the loss of a loved one to help them cope. This experience can help children feel comfortable talking about their emotions and being able to share with their family. It will begin at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the New Life Church of God.
