This Saturday the Fall Festival will be held at the Jones Lake State Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The joyous event will be filled with games, face painting, crafters, hay rides, cake walks, and even animal exhibits. A Halloween costume contest will begin at noon. There are four different age groups: 0 to 3 years old, 4 to 6 years old, 7 to 9 years old, and 10 to 12 years old. Around 1:30 p.m. the winners of the costume contest will be announced. Each ticket will cost 0.50 cents or you can by a wristband instead to have unlimited participation in all games for only $5 each. Those who intend on coming are encouraged to pre-register by calling 910-588-4550.
A Controlled Burn will be taking place this Saturday near the vicinity of Martin Street in Elizabethtown. The surrounding area could experience or notice smokey conditions in their neighborhood.
The famous Bladenboro BeastFest will begin its two day event this Friday! The carnival rides will start on Friday at 6 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m. At 7 p.m. the Blackwater Rhythm and the Blues will begin performing.
On Saturday, the BeastFest will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade and will last until 10 p.m. There will be a performance by the Fantastic Shakers beginning at 7 p.m. The whole day will be filled with fun activities ranging from live entertainment to Halloween Hayrides and even a Children’s Costume Contest. There will also be a Trunk or Treat from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at New Light Church.Share:
