A Staff Report

Fayetteville, NC – The dawn of January 1, 2024, brought with it the joyous news of the first babies born at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Twins, Adonis Weathers and Adrian Weathers, marked their entry into the world, bringing double the joy to their family and the community.

Adonis Weathers made his grand entrance at 1:39 a.m., closely followed by his brother Adrian at 1:49 a.m. Both infants, despite their early hour of birth, showcased remarkable health. Adonis weighed in at 6 lb. 2 oz. and measured 18 ¾ inches in length, while Adrian matched his brother’s weight but stretched out to a length of 20 ¾ inches.

Their proud mother, Adrona Weathers of Fayetteville, was reported to be in good health and spirits following the delivery. The twins come into a loving family with their grandparents, Ricky and Patricia Jones of Detroit, Mich., undoubtedly eager to shower them with love and affection.

In the spirit of celebration and community support, the twins and their mother were presented with a thoughtful gift basket, accompanied by commemorative onesies. These gifts, a gesture of warmth and goodwill, were generously provided by various Fayetteville businesses in collaboration with the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation.
