A staff report

Expectant mothers in the area are in for a treat with the Bladen County Health Department’s latest initiative. The “Healthier You, Healthier Baby” program is a series of informative sessions designed to empower pregnant women with knowledge and practical tips on nutrition, stress management, exercise, newborn care, and post-delivery care. The free workshops aim to enhance the well-being of both mothers-to-be and their future newborns.

These educational gatherings are scheduled from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on April 19th, April 26th, May 3rd, and May 10th at the Bladen County Health Department, located at 300 Mercer Mill Road. This series is a testament to the community’s commitment to supporting families during one of the most significant times of their lives.

To add to the excitement, the department is offering free snacks and giveaways, turning each session into not just a learning experience but also a social gathering for participants to connect and share their journeys. Isabella, the point of contact for these sessions, is ready to assist those interested in joining the program.

Registrants can reach out to her at (910)-872-6264 to secure a spot. This is a unique opportunity for mothers in the community to gain invaluable insights and to foster healthy habits that will benefit them and their babies for years to come.
