National Weather ServiceThe National Weather Service has issued a hurricane watch for Bladen County. A Hurricane Watch means hurricane-force winds are possible somewhere within the watch area within the next 48 hours, according to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington.

Hurricane Florence is Category 4 Major Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 140 miles per hour and is now located 975 miles east-southeast of Cape Fear.
