Goldstons Beach Fireworks 2

People looking for a good concert in Bladen County this summer don’t have far to look. The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has added the Summer Jams Concert to the festivities celebrating Independence Day this coming week.

Elizabethtown downtown merchants have an annual side walk sale the week of July 4th and this year will be no different. Both sides of the street will be packed with savings on some great products starting Thursday, June 30th and lasting through the holiday.

“We are going to have another big sale this year,” Mike Suggs said from Fisher’s Mens Shop and The Ladies Shop.

Adding to the excitement starting Thursday, the local chamber of commerce along with Southeastern Healthcare will be hosting the Summer Jams concert at Goldston’s in White Lake featuring the “Steve Owens & Summertime” band. Newly elected Chamber Ambassadors will be assisting with the concert and are looking forward to the great music and dancing according to Ambassador Erin Smith.

“We are looking forward to this concert. We decided to tie it in with all the other festivities we have in Elizabethtown and White Lake during the 4th of July holiday,” Dawn Maynard, Executive Director of the chamber said.

Fireworks will be held on July 4th as in years past at Goldston’s starting at 9 p.m. All the events are free and open to the public. Shop local and enjoy the Mother County.
