The Kiwanis Club and Bladen County Emergency Services are working together to raise funds for the new Bladen County Training Facility and the Kiwanis Club’s children programs. Each organization will receive 50% of the net proceeds raised.
The event’s name is Fifty-Fifty Fear Factor Fundraiser.
The fundraiser will kick off with a Fear Factor Fun Run & Walk starting at 7:30 am on Saturday, August 6th at Lu Mil Vineyard and Dublin Motor Speedway. Then the fun will continue Saturday until 2 pm at Dublin Motor Speedway with Mud Tug of War, Apparatus Race, a DJ, Food, baked goods, a dunking booth, vendors and more!
A trophy for the Apparatus Race’s winning teams will be given for each division. An EMS team, Law Enforcement team and Fire Department team will all have the opportunity to win a trophy.
“The hope is to make this a yearly competition and pass the trophies around,” Erin Smith, Kiwanis member said.
Everyone is being asked to sign up for the events and support the two causes. Thompson’s Small Engine Repair, Lu Mil Vineyard, Cape Fear Heating & Cooling and BladenOnline.com are all sponsors of the events thus far.
