Health Grades

By Cheryl Thurston

April has ended and May has begun, now is the time for fun in the sun. What an interesting April we had this year, too. Never before have I seen Easter Sunday fall on April Fool’s Day. I looked it up, and the last time it happened was in the 1950s, but it’ll happen again in 2029. Maybe I’ll still be here to see it then. But that wasn’t the only interesting thing about April this year. There were nights in the 20s and days in the high 70s. The spring we were all waiting so longingly for finally arrived… last week. Ha Ha Ha

But there were other “normal” things that happened in April too. For instance, those fine folks over at the Bladen County Health Department went on their regular sanitation inspection rounds and you will be pleased to know that the school cafeterias in Bladen County are nearly perfect. It’s nice to mention when an eatery achieves a score of 100%, but this time there are 3 of them and many between 98 and 99.5. BladenOnline.com is pleased to bring you the report below. Let’s congratulate those dedicated cafeteria workers, and let’s eat out. Bon Appitité.
