Spread the love

By Cheryl Thurston

Hello Bladen County. Here we are again at the beginning of a new month. I’ve been enjoying the light and lovely April showers we’ve been getting, and so do my squash plants. Here’s hoping that Friday’s expected rains aren’t filled with damaging hail and high winds.

As you know, the fine folks over at the Bladen County Health Department perform sanitation inspections each month in the various restaurants, cafes, diners, delis and cafeterias that make up the public eateries in the Mother County. It appears that they now include concession stands as well. That’s good to know since many of us spend our warm weather months frequenting sporting events, and getting a bit hungry while we are there. I love a good hot dog at a baseball game. How about you?

I’ve just seen the report for all the food services which were inspected during March and I got a nice surprise. There are a couple of new places I hadn’t heard of before, so I’ll be adding those to my to do list. Before planning your next meal out of the house why not check out the list below to see the results of those recent inspections. Bon appetite!
