Dublin, NC – With spirits high and glasses full, Lu Mil Vineyard recently played host to its highly anticipated Annual May Day Jamboree, which unfolded with resounding success on Saturday, May 4, 2024. From 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, hundreds of attendees reveled in a day of festivities that celebrated the essence of North Carolina Wine Month, leaving unforgettable memories and a lingering taste of delight.

As part of the celebration, Lu Mil Vineyard proudly joined hands with over 190 wineries across North Carolina, honoring May as North Carolina Wine Month. This statewide endeavor showcased the diverse array of wines crafted in the region and highlighted the thriving culture surrounding them. Guests at Lu Mil Vineyard’s Annual May Day Jamboree were treated to an afternoon brimming with joy and appreciation for the artistry of winemaking.

The event featured a plethora of activities that catered to all interests and ages, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. From the thrill of free fishing at the designated area to the tempting array of food offerings that tantalized taste buds, attendees reveled in the festive atmosphere that permeated the vineyard grounds.

One of the day’s highlights was the opportunity for guests to partake in complimentary wine tastings. Guests sampled the award-winning wines that define North Carolina’s muscadine wine industry. With each sip, guests embarked on a sensory journey, discovering the nuanced flavors and aromatic profiles that make these wines exceptional.

The captivating performances of Loose Floorboards, Massive Grass, and Autumn Tyde provided the perfect soundtrack to the day’s festivities, infusing the vineyard with infectious energy and rhythm. From foot-tapping melodies to soulful tunes, the music reverberated through the air, adding to the ambiance and setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

The day was filled with excitement for younger attendees as they explored the various kids’ activities, from gem mining to bouncing in the inflatable house. Laughter echoed amidst the vineyard as children and families alike embraced the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

Reflecting on the event’s success, Denise Taylor Bridgers, co-owner of Lu Mil Vineyard, expressed her gratitude: The May Day Jamboree began four years ago as a kickoff to Spring and an excuse to get outside with family and friends. As the event has grown, we are excited to showcase our property, which is 78 acres under muscadine vines, and we are proud to be a part of the North Carolina wine industry.

The organizers shared their excitement about the event’s success, highlighting the beautiful weather that graced Dublin all day with no rain, the presence of fantastic vendors, abundant fishing opportunities, and top-notch entertainment! They extended a special shout-out to their dedicated employees, recognizing their hard work and commitment to making the event a resounding success. 

As the sun set on another remarkable May Day Jamboree, guests departed with good memories and a renewed appreciation for the vibrant wine culture of North Carolina. Lu Mil Vineyard’s Annual May Day Jamboree once again proved to be a testament to the region’s rich heritage and the enduring spirit of community that defines it.
