Lisbon, NC – McCree Clark Alford, 91, of Lisbon, died peacefully on February 26, 2018. McCree was born to Talbot and Ora Clark on July 1, 1926. She was united in marriage to Harry H. Alford on March 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2015 after many blissful years together.

Ms. Alford was also preceded in death by a brother, Durwood Clark; and sisters, Erma Alford and Edna Davis. She leaves behind her daughter Ann Kinlaw (Gordon); son, Dan Alford (Beth); 3 grandchildren, Bradley Kinlaw, Erin Kinlaw, and Ciera Alford; 3 step grandchildren, Amber Hardee, Joshua Huggins, and Jennifer Potter; 3 great grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren; sister, Gladine Britt; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Well-known to the Lisbon community, McCree took immense pride in dedicating most of her life to taking care of her family. She spent many of those years alongside her husband, Harry, on their farm, and operating Alford’s Grocery, which was a lighthouse to the community for over 40 years.

McCree was a true Christian woman, and an active member of Lisbon Baptist Church for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, working in her garden, and cooking in her kitchen, where you could always count on a pan of her special homemade biscuits.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28 th , from 1-2:30pm at the Lisbon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm in the church, and a burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverends Teddy Lawson and Mark Creech.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Lisbon Baptist Church, 4588 Lisbon Road, Clarkton, NC 28433 or Angel House Hospice Care Center-Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
