There will be an opportunity to assist high school students with scholarships in the near future. Randolph Keaton and Sabrina Wallace with Men and Women United for Youth and Families announced an upcoming car show in Riegelwood to help the non-profit fundraise for their annual high school scholarships.
Men and Women United for Youth and Families is an educational non-profit.  It offers classes, is home to the Tri-County Job Center, and offers three scholarships to students at North Brunswick, East Columbus and East Bladen high schools. Scholarship applications will be handed out at the schools in January, according to Mr. Keaton.
Keaton said the goal of the agency is to try to connect people to the resources they need whether it is job training, higher education, or learning new job skills.
The non-profit is currently looking for sponsors and participants for their car show coming up on Saturday, October 5th from 9 am until 3 pm at 2375 Old Stage Road in Riegelwood, across from the Piggly Wiggly. Registration fee is $25 and will be from 9 am until 1 pm. Judging will be from 1 pm until 2 pm.
There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. For more information contact Perry Dixon at 910-685-4017 or Dave Parks at 910-540-4141.
