Miranda Faircloth has been selected to serve as Bladen County Division of Aging Director. In this role she will be responsible for overseeing the Bladen Senior Center, Nutrition Services, In-home Aide Services, and Bladen Area Rural Transportation.

Faircloth has not always been a North Carolina resident but has grown a deep love of this county, and the state. She came to Bladen County in December 2019 from Washington state where she filled the role of Human Resource Consultant for the Department of Labor and Industries.

“I am excited to be a part of an agency that focuses on the well-being of those who helped to forge the path that led to great achievements,” Faircloth said. “There is so much history and knowledge in this group. I cannot wait to learn from them as we work to make each and every person’s life a little better!”

Faircloth has a bachelor’s degree in business management with a focus in human resources and plans to complete her master’s degree in public administration. She received various certifications including Mental Health First Aid, LEAN Basics, and Quality Matters. As an advocate for child and adult services Miranda spent several years in support of her communities through her professional and volunteer positions.

Having recently been the Operations Manager for a non-profit focused on community-based crime reduction Faircloth comes to Bladen County with an understanding of the needs of the community, as well as a firm understanding of what is necessary to have an efficient and effective community-based program.

“We are pleased to welcome Miranda Faircloth as the Bladen County Director of Aging Services” said Director Bladen Health and Humans Services Terri Duncan. “Miranda’s energy, expertise in organizational management and passion to improve community programs is an asset to Bladen County.”
