Currie, NC – Superintendent Matthew Woods announced that due to the uncertainty of incoming Hurricane Dorian’s pathway, and with the projection for many inches of rain that could cause flooding on the rural roads surrounding the park, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be closing at noon on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 until after the storm passes. A determination will be made about park operations once assessments have been made about access to the park.
