A new restaurant has opened in Tar Heel to the delight of many residents. Dani’s Kitchen, held their grand opening on Saturday. The restaurant is located at 247 Tar Heel Road in Tar Heel, NC.
The grand opening included music, food and a backpack giveaway.
“Everything went great and everything turned out great,” said Danielle Young. “I’m excited.”
Young said she began Dani’s Sweets and Treats about three years ago, selling cakes and candy apples. She said she became interested in making “seafood boils,” and then became interested in preparing other foods.
Young said she would prepare meals and post them to her social media accounts, and people would respond enthusiastically. She decided to return home to Bladen County and launch her business.
Young said Dani’s Kitchen will serve seafood boils, fried seafood, cheesecakes, and flavored lemonade. She said seafood comes fresh from the North Carolina coast.
“Everything is fresh,” said Young.
She noted the apples she uses to prepare her candy apples are organic.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through Thursday 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Breakfast is served on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
