The National Weather Service of Wilmington released a one-page briefing for the tropical disturbance expected to hit off the coast of the Carolinas.

The briefing regarding the Carolinas’ tropical disturbance stated there is a 40% chance of development over the next few days. Currently, the main impact is expected through the weekend with increased rain. According to Victoria Oliva, with the NWS, one to two inches of rain is forecasted for tomorrow through Saturday, with isolated three inches of rain near the coast. She warned in the briefing, if additional development of the disturbance occurs, impacts could potentially increase.

Another briefing will be sent tomorrow morning.
