Hurricane Florence’s most likely path as of early Monday is landfall on Thursday or Friday on the coast of North Carolina….specific location still in doubt……Stay tuned…..
Rain played havoc with PGA playoffs and NASCAR yesterday.
NASCAR race at Indianapolis is set for 10 AM today with a 10% chance of rain.
The final round of the PGA FedEx BMW playoff at Newtown Square, PA (near Philadelphia) is set for an early morning tee off today, after a wash-out yesterday, however there is an 80% chance of rain on an already saturated course. Top 30 PGA players advance to finals in a couple of weeks where the payoff is $10M to the winner. My luck, I would be number 31 if rainout, much like Jordan Spieth’s current situation.
NFL regular season play began on Thursday and continued yesterday with more action tonight. Panthers defeated Cowboys 16-8, giving new owner his first victory as a Panther, and last night Packers eaked out a 24-23 win over the Bears.
Been hot and dry for sometime, that may be changing this week. Chances of rain increase dramatically with the threat of Hurricane Florence. Be careful what you wish for….We need a good rain, but not a flood…..or the high winds.
The trouble with weather forecasting is that it’s right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it. Patrick Young
Don’t knock the weather, nine-tenths of the people couldn’t start a conversation if it didn’t change once in a while. Kin Hubbard
I played as much golf as I could in North Dakota, but summer up there is pretty short. It usually falls on Tuesday. Mike MorleyShare:
