Thoughts While Shaving

Holiday traffic is bumper-to-bumper, and not just on the interstate….and most restaurants are very busy.  Just enough ‘wet stuff’ to cause serious traffic issues.  Patience, Lord, now….please.

Duke outscored Temple 35-0 in the second half of the Independence Bowl yesterday and won 56-27.  Both teams complete the 2018 season play with 8-5 records.  See yesterday’s Thoughts for more games over the next week or so.

Anyone killed hogs in recent years?  Remember when it was a neighborhood event and everyone had a ‘mess of fresh pork?’

One of my dear friends has told me, and others, he wants to be buried on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. so everyone can attend, but no one gets off work.  And I would add, but not this week.

Time to get serious about New Year’s Resolutions.  For the life of me, can’t remember last years….

Remember when sports cards were big?  Packs of cards in many retail outlets, near the check-out.  Haven’t seen any recently….probably due to a lack of demand.

When I think of all the turmoil, locally, at the state and national level, frustrating.  Us human beings can ‘mess things up’.

One good bit of news, the water in White Lake is much better, so I am told.  Been sickly for a few months.  A healthy White Lake helps all in the county, attracts tourists and they spend $s, including sales tax, while enjoying the water all summer long.

Shop locally for great ‘After Christmas Bargains.’
