On Monday, Nov. 15th the Pastries & Print book club will be pleased to welcome Local Author, Dr. Lynn R. Welborn, DM, MBA to discuss his book “Crazy Beach” at the next meeting in the Library’s meeting room at the Main Branch in Elizabethtown.
Dr. Welborn (Lynn) was a member of the Library Board in Bladen for many years in the 1990s and an award-winning journalist with the Bladen Journal during that era as well. He has written a trilogy of books Crazy Beach Discs I-III. The first of which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2018. All have received many great reviews in our local paper, The Wilmington Star-News, and newspapers around the country.
Lynn has been featured on NPR twice (for Discs I and II) and also as a guest of the Prologue Book Club and has made numerous appearances at book stores and book clubs around the south. We are looking forward to him coming out to share with us more from his book and adventures across the years!
