A staff report

On Friday, November 10 2023, Elizabethtowns’ very own Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy and their 11th corps of cadets conducted their annual Veterans Day ceremony. While most children got to sleep in, cadets were bused in from all parts of Bladen, Columbus, Robinson, and Cumberland counties like it was a normal school day for them, to honor our military forces and veterans.

The Bulldogs did not disappoint. With a crowd full of parents, valued community members, retired and active military members, and special guest Larell Murchison, the cadets led by Battalion Commander 1st Captain Senior Nazyia Johnson of Fairmount the Corps looked amazing.

As always, the cadets in attendance conducted themselves with the utmost discipline, professionalism, and military barring. Narrator Cadet Sargent Michael Fishburn recounted every major conflict that US armed forces took part in on foreign soil.

They were even showcasing the uniforms that were worn in each conflict. After the conclusion of every conflict, the school recognized and honored every service member in attendance and ones who were no longer with us.
