The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has announced several road closures in Bladen County, NC, impacting travel routes in the area.
NC131 will be closed for crossline repair in both directions west of Dublin, beginning Monday, April 1, 2024, at 7:00 am through Friday, April 5, 2024, at 5:00 pm. A detour is available via SR1191 (Old NC 41) back to C41, then to NC131.
Additionally, US Highway 701N has undergone closures, and all traffic has been rerouted to the new bridge. Please note there is a wide load traffic restriction in place.
Furthermore, the Elwell Ferry will be closed due to high water levels, starting at 6:30 am on March 28, 2024, and is expected to reopen at 6:30 am on April 3, 2024.
Residents and travelers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time during these closures. Stay informed and updated on road conditions through NCDOT’s official channels.
