Fish FryIf you are looking for a great plate lunch today, stop by the Bladen County Shrine Club’s fish fry. The Bladen County Shrine Club will hold their annual fraternal fish fry today (Wednesday, April 20) from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the Food Lion Parking Lot in Elizabethtown.

Shrine Club President Phil Allen said that the fraternal fish fry is used to support the club and its activities including programming. He also said part of the proceeds will be used to help to defray some of the expenses of the larger fish fry held in October.

“The expenses aren’t that much, but we still need some type of fundraiser ,” said Allen.

Allen said the plates will consist of hot, fresh fish, slaw, hush puppies and tea.

The funds raised during the fall fish fry go to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
