Located on the historic family farmland of Lucille and Miller Taylor in Dublin, NC, Lu Mil Vineyard stands as a tribute to its namesakes. The vineyard, which has expanded to cover 78 acres in just five years, initially served as a practical field for the Taylor family to innovate and test agricultural equipment. This innovative spirit led to the establishment of their Muscadine vineyard, which has become a foundation for a range of products, including their first estate wines, launched following the 2005 Muscadine grape harvest.

In December 2005, Lu Mil opened its doors to the public, introducing a Gift Shop and Tasting Room that offers a selection of Muscadine wines such as Old Cumberland, Taylor Divine, and Harmony Hall, among others. Beyond wines, the vineyard produces jellies, jams, non-alcoholic wines, juices, ciders, sauces, syrups, and grape seed extract pills, all derived from Lu Mil’s own vines.

Lu Mil Vineyard has evolved into a versatile, family-oriented venue, featuring renovated spaces like The Barrel Room for events and receptions and an 8,000 square-foot building that not only houses the Gift Shop and Tasting Room but also Creekside, a premier 6,000 square-foot entertainment venue. With its modern audio/video setup, Creekside can host up to 550 guests, offering wrap-around porches for a serene view of the vineyard.

Denise Taylor Bridgers with Lu Mil Vineyard is excited to announce two significant events happening soon. First up is the Lu Mil Wine 5k Run, scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 13, 2024. With a registration fee of $60, participants will enjoy a picturesque run around the winery. All proceeds from the event will support the Dublin Peanut Festival. Following that, on May 4, the vineyard will celebrate the May Day Jamboree from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 438 Suggs-Taylor Road, Elizabethtown. This event promises an afternoon and evening filled with live music, complimentary wine tasting, a selection of food trucks, a bounce house for kids, and fishing opportunities. Admission is free, making it a perfect day out for the whole family.

For accommodations, Lu Mil provides charming Vineyard Cabins with stunning views of the landscape and lakes, designed for comfort with amenities like refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and full baths. Several cabins also feature a romantic heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub. With all nine cabins available for nightly rental, and a tenth cabin being handicap-accessible, guests are invited to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Additionally, The Taylor House and the renovated Farmhouse offer unique overnight experiences, stepping back in time or hosting small gatherings in a cozy, historic setting.
