The Southeastern Times, Bladen County’s home-owned newspaper back in the 70’s and 80’s captured a Bladen County baby ushering in a new year. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Frazer of Elizabethtown, Robbie Frazer who was two-and-a-half at the time of the photo made the front page of the old Clarkton newspaper on Wednesday, January 2, 1986.
The photo was taken by Ann Hood. The caption on the front page said Robbie was dressed as the New Year baby to help usher in 1986 and his 11 year-old-brother Hugh Jr. and seven-year-old sister Carrie helped him pose for the photo.
