Be mindful of construction on US 701 bridge over Cape Fear River … Traffic in both directions will be disrupted in coming weeks as concrete-reinforced girders will begin to be ‘set’ … girders which average 150 feet long … Patience, patience, patience…
Only three bridges over the river in Bladen County … Tar Heel, Elizabethtown and NC 11 east of East Arcadia … Not sure if the ferry near Kelly is operating or not … the limits are extreme … like a couple of cars at the time…
At a local restaurant last evening and so many youngsters dressed up, apparently headed to ‘prom’ … our future leaders … Remember your prom? So much change since the class of ’56 celebrated the occasion … just 66 years ago.
