Springtime is normally a very busy time, and checking our Events page, this year appears to be no exception.
Bladen County Shriners are sponsoring another Fish Fry tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10 AM to 7 PM in the Food Lion parking lot. Proceeds benefit the Shriner’s Hospital for children.
There are numerous Easter egg hunts and Cantata’s this weekend. Check with churches in the area.
We are nearing the annual fundraisers for Bladen We Care. The 27th Annual Byron H. Gooden Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Thursday, April 27 at Vineyard Golf, White Lake. Entry forms are available at the Pro Shop or call 910-874-4001. The cost is $125 per person. Breakfast and lunch are included in the fee.
And, the Bladen We Care Annual Gala will be held May 5, at Lu Mil Vineyard beginning at 7 PM. For ticket info, call 910-862-8423.
Proceeds from both Bladen We Care events benefit Bladen County residents ‘falling through the cracks’ in our health care delivery service.
Another annual event upcoming is the Kelly Spring Fest. It will be held Saturday, April 29th at the ball park, NC 53 in Kelly, NC. Events begin with the Annual Parade at 10 AM and continue throughout the day.
