Thursday is my favorite day of the week. I spend a couple of hours every Thursday reading statewide newspapers. For years it was a daily task and I shared results with nearly 300, mostly county and city managers statewide. Still have request for articles related to the work group, but share with just a few. For 25 years, I was Field Rep for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC). Best job in the state.
Thursday evening, for the past mmmm 20 to 25 years (guessing) I have shared the evening meal with siblings and my mom, prior to her death.
Some habits are difficult to change, and in fact, I do not care to change. Guess I could be called a ‘creature of habit.’ For a couple of years, early 60s, I was employed at Elizabethtown MFG Company. Shift began at 7 AM, and later, for many years I had an early morning shift on WBLA, beginning at 6 AM. Now, over 50 years later, I still rise early.
As if anyone cares.
Had a first for me last evening, my Facebook account was hacked. Had numerous friends (contacts) sharing info that they were receiving ‘friend’ request. I am a Facebook user, wish my friends Happy Birthday, not much more. I was told to change my password, had no idea where to begin. Shared with Facebook and they guided me through the process. Pretty neat and thanks to all who made me aware.
Mother’s Day is Sunday. My mom died many, many years ago. We will gather to celebrate her birthday early next month. I still miss her.
