Average temperature in Death Valley during the month of July was 107.4, the hottest month ever in the US, and the second hottest in the world, by a fraction of a degree.
Latest unemployment rates for June 2017:
State of North Carolina: 4.2%
Bladen County: 5.7%
Columbus County: 5.2%
Robeson County: 6.2%
Sampson County: 4.5%
Low in the state was Buncombe County (Asheville) 3.2%
High was Scotland County: 7.6%.
And, there are more jobs available…Carroll’s Foods will be opening a chicken processing business in Bladenboro soon, and Sanderson Farms in St. Pauls continues to hold Job Fairs, looking for workers.
They are looking for drug-free folks, who have a decent high school or comparable education level. Check with NC Employment Security office in E-town or an office in a nearby county.
I keep hearing there are no jobs, Not True. Drug free, well educated individuals are needed. The higher your education level, the better chance you have for a better job. And, if you want to better yourself, Bladen Community College has a program to assist. Time for all abled bodied residents to go to work.
