Thoughts While ShavingWe need rain!  Our forecast for the next week is about a 40 to 50 percent chance of a shower, daily.  Lawns are beginning to turn brown.

If you have not traveled NC 410 & NC 41 near Bladen Community College recently, be prepared to stop, from either direction.  A 4 way stop is the first step to what is likely to become a traffic circle.

Weather much improved over recent past years for high school football practice.

Stumbled across an interesting article produced by the National Peanut Board.  Peanuts are big in our area, as a crop and in product production for human consumption.  Google, “Peanuts Are the Crop of Now”.

Racing on dirt resumes tonight at the Dublin Motor Speedway this evening.  An added feature on tonight’s agenda is ‘teachers and nurses night’ at the Speedway.  Pits open at 4 PM, grandstands open at 5, practice begins at 6:30 PM with racing to follow.

There appears to be more jobs than people in Bladen and surrounding areas.  If you are seeking to upgrade your work skills, check with Bladen Community College.  Chances for a job, a better job, depends to a great degree on your skills, be drug-free, proper attitude, good work habits, etc.  Healthy Bladen County residents should be working, no excuses.
