Duke lost
UNC lost
and ECU received a whipping.
Wake Forest had open date.
In major league baseball playoff action, Astros over the Yankees and Dodgers downed the Cubs.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the pole position for the Talladega 500, his last. He has announced he will retire at the end of this season.
College basketball begins shortly and a new PGA year is underway.
I know, there are other sports in various stages of play.
Speaking of sports, East Bladen football team have ‘pulled a rabbit out of the hat’ the past couple of times out. The Eagles are currently 7-1 overall, 5-1 in conference action. The Knights of West Bladen having improved over last year, but hoping for better. They are currently 4-4 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
And for NFL fans, it’s kick off time…
Lu Mil recorded another successful function yesterday. The NC Grape Festival drew a huge crowd.
Beastfest in Bladenboro is set for Saturday, October 28th.
