Thoughts While ShavingProcrastinators have a couple of extra days to delay filing their Federal Income Tax Returns.  This years deadline is April 17.  April 15 is the normal deadline.  The 15th is on Saturday, then Sunday and this year Monday is a federal holiday, Emancipation Day, a legal holiday in Washington, DC.  So, this year your tax forms will need to be filed by April 17.

Incidentally, understand the IRS has a goal of 21 days from the time they receive your forms, to check and return whatever portion of your paid taxes you are owed, if you are owed.

March winds are roaring.

Thought the funeral service for Billy Graham was as well done as I have ever seen.  So much packed into an hour service, give or take a few minutes.  Just the way he preferred, short, straight to the point.  No long, drawn-out, self-serving speakers.  A great worship service for a godly man.

I like speakers who follow the 3 S’s.  Stand UP, Speak Up and Shut UP.

Remember Casino Night this evening at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery sponsored by Bladen’s Bloomin’ Agri-Industrial, Inc. and Bladen County Committee of 100, Inc.  Tickets are $50 per person and proceeds benefit Economic Development efforts in Bladen County.

People ask the difference between a leader and a boss.  The leader leads, and the boss drives.  Theodore Roosevelt

A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame, a little less than his share of the credit.  Arnold H. Glasow

The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.  Ray Kroc
