Thoughts While ShavingHope your Easter weekend was good!  Great weather, good church services about a risen savior, children all dressed up with smiley faces, good family meal, and some down time.  All in all, a very good day and hopefully yours was as well.

Why can’t every day be like Easter?

Thinking back to public school days, Easter was the last holiday before the end of school.  It was like waiting for your 16th birthday or graduation, would think late May or early June (end of school) would never arrive.  After that, clock picks up speed.  Next is retirement and hopefully, social security.

NCAA men’s basketball championship will be determined tonight.  Michigan and Villanova are set to tip-off at 9:20 PM on TBS.

Millions of brackets were filled out, in numerous promotions.  Capitol One Challenge Game has over 37,000 that correctly picked the final matchup of Michigan and Villanova.  Highly doubtful than anyone picked all brackets correctly?  But, never say never.

Whiteville’s Mackenzie Gore is set to begin his first full season as a professional baseball player, after picking up a small fortune at signing time.  The 18 year old is listed as the #2 best prospect in the San Diego Padre organization with a projected ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) of 2020.  According to several publications, the only question is what kind of workload he can handle.

The #1 rated prospect is Fernando Tatis, Jr, a 19 year old short stop from the Dominican Republic who has been playing professionally since 2015.  His ETA is 2019. The time frame will depend on the performance of each.
