Bladen County commissioners meet this evening, usual meeting place and time, 6:30 PM in their meeting room downstairs in the courthouse. The meeting is open to the public. Can almost guarantee, nothing really controversial. The way it has always been just hours prior to an election.
17 voting sites across the county will be open from 6:30 AM ’til 7:30 PM Tuesday for those who did not vote early. Republicans receive a Republican ballot, Democrats a Democratic ballot and unaffiliated must decide between R and D. Winners move on to the November General Election, losers ‘lick their wounds, pick up signs and return to a normal pre-election routine.”
Elizabethtown – White Lake Chamber of Commerce will meet at 12 noon Tuesday at the Cape Fear Farmers Market.
The Hester weather station and the National Weather Service recorded approximately .30 inches of rainfall early Sunday morning. Could use much more.
